Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Climate Services will serve as a pivotal leader in CarbonBetter’s Climate Services team, blending strategic business development with project execution responsibilities. In this role, you will be a key driver of our consulting practice, with a 50/50 focus on business development and delivering high-quality client solutions.

You will lead and execute engagements related to sustainability, climate strategy, and carbon management, while also contributing directly to the company’s revenue and profit goals through P&L ownership.

Qualifications

Experience:
• 5+ years in management or strategy consulting
• Proven experience in business development and managing client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex consulting projects with minimal supervision.

Technical Expertise:
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly in new technical areas and tackle complex, unstructured problems.
• Experience developing both quantitative models (e.g., financial impact analyses, Scenario analysis) and qualitative strategies (e.g., sustainability roadmaps, Climate risk assessments, policy assessments).
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong working knowledge of reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, CDP, TCFD) and GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), LCA methodologies.

Leadership:
• Proven ability to lead and mentor small teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Strong ability to break projects into workstreams and manage them end-to-end.

Client Focus:
• Passion for delivering exceptional client service and driving meaningful change in sustainability practices.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue opportunities to expand project scope and impact.
