Job Overview

The CogStack AI and Data Science group is seeking a Clinical Scientist to work as Principal Clinical Informatician. The post holder will develop predictive algorithms using Machine Learning techniques applied to healthcare settings for various clinical areas, including managing, analysing, and harmonizing genomics data with existing clinical, diagnostics, and imaging data analytical pipelines.

This includes developing the clinical analytics platform and leading on the development of new services and applications building on this architecture, along with responsibilities in related quality management and data governance processes.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop machine learning analytical tools that utilize genomic and clinical data to make personalized medicine a reality, and shape internal governance and process frameworks for full service accreditation.

Main Duties

The post-holder will be responsible for developing predictive algorithms and supporting the day-to-day operational activity of the clinical analytics platform, evolving current data flow architectures, and developing user-facing applications leveraging the CogStack data lake.

Further responsibilities include active development and improvement of internal quality management, data governance processes, and supervising STP trainees while developing training programmes.
