Senior Hydrologist

About the position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrologist to join our team in our Tucson Arizona office. This will be a remote position as an on-call, as needed employee. This role will support proposals and projects that require the assessment and condition of water and soils. The successful candidate will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the U.S.

Responsibilities
• Assessing water and soil resources
,
• Evaluate groundwater flow models
,
• Prepares and reviews resource reports for NEPA documents
,
• Under minimal direction, performs various technical and administrative tasks of the highest difficulty related to groundwater investigation
,
• Monitors data to determine impacts of upstream activities, and verifies the activities are compliant with permitted conditions

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree of Science in Geology, Hydrology or related field
,
• 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in successfully supporting permitting and environmental impact analysis documents
,
• Valid U.S Driver's license is required for this role

Nice-to-haves
• Master's degree in science or related field
,
• 15 years of work experience in related field, environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, natural resources management, and/or cultural resources management consulting industry
,
• Strong current and recent experience with federal agencies
