Our client, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Geothermal Energy Engineer to join their innovative team in Boise, Idaho, US . This role will focus on the design, development, and optimization of geothermal energy projects, contributing to sustainable power generation.

The Senior Geothermal Energy Engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects of geothermal resource assessment, well design, and power plant engineering. You will conduct feasibility studies, perform reservoir modeling and simulation, and analyze geological and geophysical data to identify and evaluate potential geothermal sites. Key responsibilities include developing conceptual and detailed designs for geothermal systems, including surface facilities and subsurface components, and specifying equipment. You will oversee the construction and operational phases of geothermal projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. This role involves close collaboration with geologists, drilling engineers, project managers, and regulatory bodies. You will also play a role in technology research and development, seeking out new innovations to improve geothermal energy extraction and utilization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, rock mechanics, and heat transfer principles as applied to geothermal systems. Extensive experience with geothermal exploration, drilling techniques, and power plant technologies is required. Proficiency in relevant software packages for reservoir simulation and geological modeling is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities, are crucial. A Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering (Geological, Mechanical, or Petroleum) or a related field is preferred.
