Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance & Long-Term Planning

Location: Decatur, GA (Onsite, 5 days/week; flexible hours)
Type: Direct Hire
Presented by: The Intersect Group
Company Overview

We’re partnering with a public, high-growth leader in the construction and manufacturing space that delivers premium residential solutions across kitchen, bath, and whole-home categories. As a subsidiary of a nationally recognized home improvement enterprise, the company combines the agility of a focused operating unit with the scale and stability of its larger parent. With revenue quickly approaching the $1B threshold, the organization offers exceptional visibility to senior leadership, a collaborative culture, and meaningful impact for finance professionals who excel in strategic planning and long?range financial modeling.
Role Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance & Long-Term Planning will own and develop the multi-year financial model that guides the company’s expansion strategy—supporting greenfield builds, new market entries, and acquisitions. You will translate long-term business strategies into actionable financial projections, evaluate alternative investment paths through scenario modeling, and prepare insights that influence capital allocation decisions.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role partners with leaders across Expansion, Operations, Commercial Finance, FP&A, and Accounting. You will regularly present findings to the capital expansion group (CEO, COO, CFO, VP Commercial Finance), track performance against plan, and update assumptions as new initiatives evolve.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain integrated multi-year strategic financial models aligned with long-term growth initiatives.
• Translate expansion plans into revenue ramps, cost structures, and capital investment requirements.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate pacing, risks, and investment alternatives.
• Support major strategic initiatives including new market entries, greenfield expansions, real estate/lease decisions, and acquisitions.
• Conduct CAPEX modeling, ROI/IRR analysis, and capital allocation optimization.
• Compare actual results to long-term projections; identify variances and refine assumptions to improve accuracy.
• Align strategic models with annual operating plans by partnering with FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Accounting.
• Present complex financial insights to senior leadership in concise, executive-ready formats.
Key Requirements
• 5–8 years in corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or investment analysis.
• Advanced expertise building multi-year projections, CAPEX models, cost build-ups, and scenario/sensitivity analyses.
• Strong P&L understanding, including variable vs. fixed cost drivers and margin analysis.
• Advanced Excel capabilities (structured modeling, error-checking, scenario management).
• Ability to work with evolving datasets and incomplete information.
• Experience supporting growth initiatives such as new market entry, M&A, or real estate/lease projects.
• Executive-level communication skills—capable of simplifying complex data into clear insights.
• Preferred: Experience in building products, residential/commercial construction, or manufacturing; exposure to ~$1B organizations; Power BI expertise; MBA.
Why This Opportunity
• High-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO with regular ELT exposure.
• Newly created seat with a strategic focus—far beyond routine reporting.
• Entrepreneurial environment backed by a major parent company.
• Opportunity to influence and shape long-term financial strategy and expansion modeling.
• Flexible work hours within a highly collaborative onsite culture.
