Role Description
Join us at Form Energy, where we're pioneering energy storage solutions for a sustainable future. We are seeking an Equipment Engineer to sustain and optimize our Anode Furnace equipment. In this role, you will play a vital part in commissioning, stabilizing, and enhancing our anode process in collaboration with development and production teams.
You will be responsible for defining and executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, and overseeing pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, you'll provide hands-on support in a high-volume manufacturing environment, optimize equipment settings for quality and throughput, and implement upgrades and modifications to enhance station performance.

This role will be located at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, which is just a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation assistance is available.
What you'll do:
• Define preventive maintenance activities on automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Oversee and maintain pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Provide hands-on support for high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Optimize equipment settings for quality and throughput in collaboration with production teams.
• Implement upgrades and modifications to enhance station performance.
What you'll bring:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Over 5 years in manufacturing equipment design, build, and commissioning.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and experience in designing bulk materials dispensing equipment and high-speed motion systems.
• Automation Expertise: Familiarity with PLC hardware, and automation systems.
• Interdisciplinary Communication: Strong communication skills across various engineering and business functions.
• Innovation: A demonstrated track record of innovative hardware design and engineering.
