Job Description

SAIC is hiring a Senior Environmental Policy Analyst to support the Chief of Naval Operations in Virginia, MN. This full-time telework position requires periodic local travel to the Pentagon and is open only to candidates in the DC Metro Area. Responsibilities include environmental analysis, compliance assessment, and policy development. Candidates must have a relevant degree, an active DoD Secret clearance, and at least 5 years of experience in environmental compliance.
SAIC is seeking a Senior Environmental Policy Analyst to assist the Chief of Naval Operations, Installations Division (OPNAV N4I), in providing environmental program support. This is a full-time telework position with periodic local travel to the Pentagon. Minimal travel outside the DC Metro Area is anticipated.

This position is open to candidates residing in the DC Metro Area only.
Responsibilities:
• Perform environmental analysis to assess, analyze, research, and ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including acts such as the CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, EPCRA, Oil Pollution Act, and relevant Executive Orders.
• Conduct research and data assessment; develop reports, surveys, charts, figures, or matrices related to compliance and specific applications.
• Prepare information supporting environmental policy development or administration, with knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, Compliance Audits, and Notices of Violation.
• Draft and review policies, evaluate compliance, support meetings with minutes, and identify strategic options for decision-makers. Support DoD SSC meetings on CAA and CWA issues, covering both shore and afloat environmental areas.Qualifications:

Required:
• Active Interim DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Environmental Policy, Environmental Engineering, Economics, Business, or related fields.
• Strong qualitative analysis, written, and oral communication skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance.

Desired:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. High attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability are expected.
• Experience supporting senior military and civilian executives at headquarters level.

Additional Information:

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis with no deadline. SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters, but customer site policies must be followed when applicable.
