The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for the Nebraska region. As we continue to grow and evolve we are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist supporting our Nebraska region of Grain Elevators. In this position you will take the lead in identifying risks and implementing improvements across multiple locations. Your mission is to enhance EHS performance by developing and executing effective programs processes and procedures. The incumbent in this role will be at the forefront of fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.Key Responsibilities Support locations in execution of EHS Management Systems Significant Injury and Fatality SIF initiatives and Life Critical Policies through education and training auditing coaching and leading.Provide strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.Assist with the development of business unit EHS policies and procedures.Provide incident investigation support and lead those classified as Red Risk.Ensure operations activities incorporate all necessary auditing monitoring reporting and inspections to comply with standards.What is expected of you and others at this levelIn-depth knowledge and experienceUses existing solutions to resolve complex issuesWorks independently; receives minimal guidanceActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceRepresents the level at which career may stabilize for many yearsMinimum Qualifications & SkillsBachelorâs Degree required Masterâs Degree preferred5-10 yearsâ relevant experience requiredCertified Safety Professional CSP Certified Industrial Hygienist CIH and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager CHMM certification preferred50 travel requirementBenefits401k with employer matchingMedical Dental and Vision insurancesDisability insuranceLife insurancePaid time offPaid Lunch onsite onlyRelocation assistance available if neededThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
