Job Description
Fusion HCR is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager in Wilmington, DE. The role involves leading project teams on water-quality and soil investigations, regulatory compliance, and environmental permitting for various industries. Candidates should have a BS in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a PE license. The position requires office and field leadership, with periodic travel and fieldwork involved.
Position: Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager, PE
Our client is a reputable Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Due to continued growth of their Environmental Division, they are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager to lead highly collaborative project teams assisting clients with water-quality and soil investigation and permitting, regulatory compliance, and related technical assignments for varying industries throughout the Mid-Atlantic coast.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated and interested in working with a highly-qualified team of engineering professionals to provide high quality technical service for a wide variety of project types.
• Work closely with geotechnical and civil engineering staff to integrate remedial action plans, environmental permitting, monitoring, work plan development, and engineering for industrial, hazardous waste, and solid waste throughout North and South Carolina.
• Be part of a design team for remediation projects, including developing concepts for mitigating technical design issues to meet project requirements, assisting in resolving remediation issues, conducting contamination assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial system design, installation and construction oversight, and system monitoring, operation & maintenance.
• Provide office and field leadership for an environmental assessment and response team.
• Periodic travel and field work required.
• Enjoy problem solving, managing projects from inception to completion, keeping abreast of current technology, and being part of a motivated and highly skilled team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (Master’s Degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of progressive professional experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Regulations and NEPA, SEPA.
