Overview

Our Energy Group is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist for our Oklahoma City office location. This exciting role places you at the forefront of environmental compliance, leading projects across air, water, waste, and sustainability. You’ll manage audits, guide clients through regulations, and develop solutions to mitigate risks. Responsibilities

Imagine a day where you lead dynamic projects, guiding clients through environmental compliance in air, water, and waste management. You’ll conduct audits, solve sustainability challenges, and help clients navigate risks and regulations. • Environmental Compliance: Deliver Environmental Air, Water, Waste, and Environmental Services Group compliance services to existing clients. Help clients with internal processes for managing risks, safety, and navigating environmental regulatory compliance. Work with clients to find solutions to environmental issues, including sustainability, compliance, remediation, and liability
• Leadership & Project Management: Lead complex projects involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person project teams. Lead broad-based compliance audits/assessments at commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities. Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior staff in project management and technical performance of environmental compliance work
• Strategic Growth & Business Development: Develop new business and cultivate existing clients in the environmental compliance area. Establish/maintain strong professional credentials in the environmental compliance area through technical presentations and publications, society affiliations, service on technical committees, etc
• Regulatory Engagement & Risk Management: Prepare concise reports and plans that assess potential environmental liability risks, compliance, and operational status. Lead and develop interactions with environmental agencies (Federal, State, and local) to ensure progression of pending permits, applications, and resolution of corrective action or notice of violation

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (P.E. Preferred) AND a minimum of 5+ years of multi-media environmental regulatory compliance experience working with oil and gas, utility, or industrial clients plus 2 years leadership experience
• Air, Soil Remediation, and/or Stormwater permitting experience required
• Environmental Compliance Audit experience
• SPCC and Tier II experience required
• Prior environmental consulting experience preferred
• Well-versed in environmental risk, environmental compliance, health & safety compliance
• Knowledgeable of issues within ENERCON’s key client sectors, including oil and gas, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and utilities
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
• Ability to manage clients and support business development efforts, including proposal development
• Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and “people” skills
• Ability to travel between 20-30% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on client needs, ranging up to a few days
