• Collect, analyse and report on environmental and carbon performance and data and regularly undertake inspections.
• Promote knowledge sharing by documenting and presenting key environmental and carbon learnings through case studies and presentations.
• Investigate and report environmental incidents and non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Lead the implementation of the NHS Net Zero Building Standard, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve embodied carbon reduction goals.
• Champion the implementation of the business environmental and carbon strategy, driving innovation and best practise across the project.
About You
You'll have a passion for sustainability, strong technical expertise, and a collaborative and influential approach when engaging and driving positive change within project teams.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills – a proactive self-starter.
• Ability to take a strategic view of environmental requirements and implement action plans.
• Proficiency in data collation (Excel) and performance reporting.
• Knowledge of environmental processes and assessments (e.g., BREEAM) and ISO14001/ISO50001 compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• Experience in carbon measurement and management is desirable but we're keen to support those looking to develop in this emerging field.
• A relevant degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Membership Institute ISEP (previously IEMA) or IES (Practitioner level or equivalent preferred).
• ISO14001 auditor qualification.
