Century is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Engineer - Highway who desires increasing responsibilities as part of our highway/transportation design team. Candidates will assist in maintaining existing and building new client relationships. The candidate will be expected to work on multiple design projects and assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction. Projects will range from small transportation enhancement, trails or PAR sidewalk projects to large highway projects. Highway projects will range from intersection improvements to road widenings and large interchange projects.Responsibilities:Lead the designs of multiple highway and transportation projectsLead Highway Engineer role on larger transportation projectsSupervise design staff across offices on assigned projects and provide quality assurance for meeting design criteria and regulatory requirementsDevelop or assist in the development of project design fees and project budgetsResponsible for coordination with clients, subconsultants and other government and regulatory agenciesOccasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetingsQualifications:BSCE from ABET accredited engineering programMinimum of 10 years of experience in highway and transportation designRegistered Professional Engineer preferredCandidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced team-oriented environmentAbility to lead others on projects and facilitate teamworkExcellent written and oral communication skills are a mustA working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations is requiredApplicant must have a general understanding of design and plan preparation using Microstation and be proficient in MS office suiteValid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Equal Pay Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
