Our client, a forward-thinking organization dedicated to sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a Senior Energy Systems Analyst to join their remote team. This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing the integration of renewable energy sources into existing power grids. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, expertise in energy markets, power systems modeling, and a passion for driving the transition to cleaner energy. You will be instrumental in developing strategies and conducting studies that support the reliable and efficient deployment of renewable energy technologies.

Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis of power systems, with a focus on integrating variable renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. Develop and utilize power system modeling software to simulate grid behavior under various scenarios. Analyze energy market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and policy impacts on renewable energy deployment. Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of renewable energy projects. Develop strategies for grid modernization, energy storage solutions, and demand-side management. Perform load forecasting and generation capacity planning studies. Collaborate with engineers, policymakers, and stakeholders to identify challenges and propose solutions for renewable energy integration. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal and external audiences. Stay current with advancements in renewable energy technologies, grid management, and energy policy. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy systems analysis, power systems engineering, or renewable energy consulting. Strong expertise in power system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory). Solid understanding of electricity markets, grid operations, and regulatory environments. Experience with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage) and their integration challenges. Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Knowledge of energy policy and climate change initiatives is a plus.
