Role Overview

As a Senior Renewable Energy Analyst, you will lead the technical and financial evaluation of rooftop and small-scale solar projects across India. From system modeling to investor-grade financial forecasts, you’ll play a central role in project development and strategy while working fully remotely and collaborating with cross-border teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Model energy yield and system performance using tools like PVSyst, HOMER, and SAM
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for residential and commercial rooftop projects
• Develop ROI reports including LCOE, IRR, NPV, payback period, and system sizing optimization
• Analyze solar irradiance data, module orientation, and rooftop shading impacts using satellite data
• Research and incorporate MNRE policies, net metering rules, and state subsidy schemes into proposals
• Collaborate remotely with engineers, BD reps, and designers across India and Canada
• Support investor pitches and government tender applications with technical and financial reports
• Mentor junior team members and help develop modeling frameworks and templates
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in solar energy performance analysis and modeling
• Strong proficiency in PVSyst and Excel-based financial models
• Understanding of India’s rooftop solar regulations and utility interconnection procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently in a remote environment
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with HOMER, SAM, or RETScreen
• Knowledge of battery storage integration and hybrid systems
• Experience with tools like QGIS, Google Earth, or 3D modeling for site evaluation
• Understanding of EPC processes and working with design or project management teams
