Our client is a global EPC with a successful reputation in solar photovoltaic energy and battery storage systems. Their approach is to develop, build and operate a balanced portfolio of large-scale solar projects to aid the growing demand for clean and sustainable energy.

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their head office in Brisbane. You will provide technical expertise during detailed engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects that will obligatorily meet project objectives, requirements, and regulatory standards. Throughout the team, you will share the responsibility of providing engineering support for BESS and PV projects, whilst collaborating with internal departments involved in all aspects of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safe integration of electrical systems into final project designs, emphasising the priority of technical, safety, and quality components of projects
• Lead and manage the technical review and authentication of the electrical design documentation produced for the energy storage and solar PV projects
• Assist the Procurement department with technical validations to ensure that materials and services coincide with the project requirements
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including project, client, departments, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Liaise with internal global engineering teams, maintaining a proactive approach to design activities
• Ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge is shared between teams to optimize project outcomes
• Participate and add to meetings with clients to update on project timelines and success, focusing on maintaining client satisfaction.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree
• Chartered Engineer with RPEQ is mandatory
• 5+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering positions
• Availability to travel to site, meetings with clients, as and when required.
