Motivated Experts dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for teammates and clients Essential Duties Oversee the electrical design of projects from the initial concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with the requirements established by project managers. Develop specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment, including packaged equipment, Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations. Review vendor drawings for electrical equipment and coordinate data exchanges with suppliers, clients, and other engineering teams, including detailers and designers. Contribute to the creation of project schedules, scopes, budgets, staffing plans, and construction strategies, while effectively managing change orders. Utilize expert knowledge of widely recognized electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering field. Apply expertise and experience to complex projects to discover innovative design solutions. Conduct quality reviews of production drawings and project-related data as required by project managers, ensuring necessary corrections are made using various CAD software. Review the construction administration process, collaborating with field personnel to address design-related installation challenges, calculations, and testing of electrical systems. Lead field inspections, installations, measurements, or calculations for both public and private clients. Prepare and deliver technical reports for clients and industry publications. Foster strong relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors while seeking new business opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction. Engage in sales and marketing activities and identify key opportunities for growth. Direct the preparation of cost proposals and qualification statements to meet established financial targets and performance standards. Develop and present project budgets and cost estimates, monitoring project performance. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the electrical engineering team, especially for less experienced engineers. Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes. Maintain effective communication with other engineering disciplines. Comply with company and site safety policies. Perform other assigned duties and adhere to all relevant policies and standards. Required Knowledge/Abilities In-depth understanding of standard engineering techniques and practices, along with a solid grasp of electrical equipment design in accordance with ANSI and IEEE standards. Proficient in using computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Experienced in overseeing discipline design for large projects and assigning tasks to team members. Capable of leading project execution and addressing challenges within a collaborative environment. Proven critical thinking skills, with the ability to approach problems methodically and analytically in a quantitative setting. Strong attention to detail, along with skills in facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving. Competent in conducting quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specifications. Willingness to travel as needed. Education/Experience Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred.
