North West, UK - hybrid/remote working

Allen & York are excited to be working with a highly regarded, purpose-driven consultancy, committed to protecting people and the planet. Predominately working in the private sector, our client provides risk mitigation services through inspection, assessment and advisory services, collaborating on interesting projects in a variety of different sectors, to include logistics, education and renewable energy.

Our client is looking for a commercially aware Senior Ecology Consultant to join the successful and growing Ecology team.

You'll hold membership of CIEEM, together with a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related field and have comprehensive experience in ecological consulting. With strong field skills across a range of habitats and protected species, you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to plan and manage ecological surveys and mitigation strategies from start to finish. You'll have in-depth knowledge of ecological legislation and planning policy and have experience with BNG and BREEAM. You'll enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues - guiding and mentoring junior team members. With strong client management experience, you'll be skilled in liaising effectively with clients, contractors, statutory consultees and the public.

You will need to hold a full, UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for this role.

A level 1 or above Bat and/or GCN Natural England licences would be advantageous to this role.

In return for your specialist skills and experience, you will receive a highly competitive salary and benefits package, with the opportunity to develop your career, working with a team of like-minded individuals with a shared set of values and a clear purpose.
