About this Role

Responsibilities
• Lead the deal origination/finance pillar of the Planet Portfolio.
• Develop investment opportunities for climate mitigation and carbon credits.
• Conduct due diligence and structure deal terms for interventions.
• Manage the climate finance and landscape finance directors.
• Oversee climate finance proposals for private and public sector investors.
• Build capabilities in carbon market project structuring and public/private funding.
• Develop templates and integrate finance models for NbS interventions.
• Prepare detailed investment documentation for stakeholders.
• Represent the Climate Finance team in meetings surrounding carbon markets.
• Support WWF’s nature-based solutions for climate change initiatives.

Requirements
• Graduate degree in economics, business administration, or finance.
• 8-12 years of experience in ecosystem-based climate investments.
• Expertise in impact bonds, structured finance, and carbon credit transactions.
• Strong understanding of nature-based climate solutions.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Solid experience in financial modeling and business analysis.
• Ability to work under deadlines with changing circumstances.
• Experience with travel up to 25% in developing countries.
• Fluency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese advantageous.
