Senior Designer/Landscape Architect (3-7 years experience)

KTUA Planning & Landscape Architecture is seeking a Senior Designer/Landscape Architect with 3-7 years of experience in San Diego, CA. The role involves community-based design, project management, and construction document production for various projects. Candidates should have a relevant degree and strong organizational skills. KTUA is looking for an inspired, creative, and motivated individual with a passion for community-based design and healthy placemaking to work with our project managers and senior staff on a variety of projects for public agencies, educational facilities, and private developers. Projects are typically located throughout Southern and Central California. Responsibilies include architecture design, graphics, construction document production (hardscape, details, grading, landscape lighting, irrigation and planting), construction administration, planning, management, marketing and analytical tasks.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate or graduate degree in planning, landscape architecture, architecture, or urban planning/design.

Three or more years of experience with a landscape architectural firm.

Working towards or currently a PLA.

Strong project management and organizational skills required.

Strong report writing, research, and presentation skills required.

Ability to work on and/or manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate multiple staff.

Motivated self-starter able to work in a team environment and independently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites required.

Proficiency with AutoCAD is required and Microstation is a plus.

Experience with ArcGIS, Land Fx, SketchUP or other 3D modeling, and visual simulations are a plus.

Must be authorized to work in the USA (Citizenship or current VISA/Green Card).

Salary Range:

$72-$82K/year
