Senior Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land
This position is ideal for an environmental professional with experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation. You'll be involved in projects across multiple sectors, gaining exposure to complex environmental challenges and working alongside experienced specialists.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Conducting contaminated land investigations, assessments, and remediation planning.
• Undertaking site inspections, data analysis, and technical reporting.
• Managing the delivery of site assessments, including PSIs, DSIs, RAPs, and due diligence studies.
• Assisting in the design and execution of remediation strategies for various projects.
• Engaging with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate project requirements.
• Preparing proposals and contributing to business development activities.
• Collaborating with colleagues to improve processes, share insights, and drive innovation.
• Supporting junior team members through mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 – 6 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on contaminated land.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting project management tasks, including contractor coordination and HSE considerations.
• Strong technical knowledge of contaminated land investigations and remediation approaches.
• Familiarity with NSW environmental regulations and national contamination assessment frameworks.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Interest in pursuing professional accreditation (such as CEnvP or CPSS) is a plus.
