Location - Hybrid or on-site (or possibly UK based remote) - Bristol, London or Manchester

Salary flexible depending upon seniority - we are aiming to attract the best

Eunomia operates a "nine-day fortnight," granting full-time employees a 3-day weekend every other week

Strategy Team

Our Strategy team empowers private sector clients to make informed planning decisions that ensure long-term viability amidst changing market dynamics and regulations. We provide insights across various sectors, including consumer goods, fashion, logistics, and packaging, guiding clients through evolving policies to enhance sustainable operations and create value.

We assist organizations transitioning to sustainable, circular, and regenerative business models, partnering with clients to co-create ambitious plans that consider materiality, regulation, competition, and stakeholder requirements. Our Strategy team consists of leaders in areas such as net-zero transitions and circular economy, backed by a wide range of experts including scientists, economists, and policy specialists.

Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership across our packaging strategy initiatives for private sector clients, ranging from consumer goods to logistics providers. Your focus will be on guiding clients through challenges and opportunities related to packaging reduction, reuse, recycled content, and recyclability.

Your responsibilities will encompass project delivery and ensuring client satisfaction, along with supporting business development activities, managing key relationships, and mentoring team members. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to meet client needs and engage effectively with senior business stakeholders.

We seek passionate individuals committed to delivering high-quality work while addressing critical environmental and sustainability issues.

Essential Criteria
• Degree-level education in a relevant field such as engineering, material science, or sustainable packaging design.
• Background as a packaging technologist or engineer, or relevant experience in a consultancy or consumer brand.
• In-depth knowledge of packaging concept design and eco-design practices.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Ability to lead technical research and engage stakeholders in a corporate environment.
• Experience in quantitative data methods for communicating environmental and financial impacts.

Desirable Criteria
• Experience in business or client development and management within the private sector.
• Advanced degree (MSc, MEng, or equivalent).
• Understanding of plastics and packaging policies at European or international levels.
• Experience with FMCG companies.
