About the Role

The Senior Communications Manager for SYSTEMIQ's Sustainable Finance Platform, which includes the Blended Finance Taskforce, will lead the planning and implementation of the platform's communications to enhance the visibility and impact of key projects. Working with teams globally and external partners, this role requires a strong understanding of sustainability and finance sectors, effective communications skills, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders professionally. The focus will be on engaging with public and private finance sectors, as well as philanthropic and NGO communities on climate and nature finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee communications across the Sustainable Finance platform, including the Blended Finance Taskforce
• Build relationships with journalists covering sustainable finance
• Manage diverse communication assets for internal and external stakeholders
• Develop external events and convenings to engage stakeholders
• Handle relationships with project partners and donors
• Work with vendors on creative projects including multimedia development
• Ensure internal stakeholders are informed of external communication priorities
• Input into key planning tools such as editorial and events trackers
• Identify and advise on reputational risks associated with projects
• Track and report communication metrics

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic communications on climate and sustainability issues
• Ability to translate finance and policy analysis into accessible messaging
• Strong relationship-building skills with media and managing media requests
• Experience in developing engaging events with global partners
• Global work experience, including in emerging markets and with diverse cultures
• Experience in financial sectors or development banks is a plus
• Ability to coordinate complex projects with internal and external partners
