Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple commercial construction projects from inception through completion. This role provides strategic direction to project teams, oversees all phases of the construction process, and fosters strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader who excels in planning, execution, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
• Direct and coordinate activities of multiple project teams to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with client goals and corporate policies.
• Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the company in all project-related meetings and strategic discussions.
• Maintain effective communication to ensure client satisfaction and project alignment.
Construction Oversight
• Monitor field activities through collaboration with site supervision to ensure project quality, safety, and compliance.
• Prepare and manage submittal logs, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Ensure accurate distribution and tracking of contract documents, permits, and submittals.
Project Controls & Documentation
• Maintain internal schedules and project tracking reports.
• Manage close-out documentation, including warranties, O&M manuals, and final project reporting.
• Ensure all change orders are properly documented and supported.
Team Supervision
• Manage staffing needs and performance evaluations.
• Mentor and support team members to achieve peak performance and growth.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in commercial construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) or other scheduling tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and applicable background checks.
• Must be able to travel to and work on multiple job sites with flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Quality Control (ISO 9000)
• Strong skills in project scheduling and productivity tracking
• Prior military experience is a plus
Pay Range: Open, Based on Experience
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
