About the position
The Senior Climate Change and Sustainability Specialist will lead efforts in greenhouse gas accounting and sustainability practices, focusing on emission reduction strategies for federal and commercial clients. This role involves project management, technical leadership, and collaboration with project directors to enhance ICF's service offerings in sustainability. Responsibilities
• Drive successful execution of projects through day-to-day activities, working closely with a team of project directors.

• Serve as project manager or task lead, developing and executing work plans and directing teams of support staff.

• Perform quality assurance for work products to ensure readiness for client delivery with minimal editing.

• Collaborate with project directors to identify emerging trends in organizational sustainability and tailor service offerings accordingly.

• Engage in client capture conversations and develop persuasive proposals and technical approaches.
Requirements
• Master's Degree or equivalent in Sustainability, Physical Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in project management.

• Experience with GHG accounting, planning, and inventorying, as well as emission reduction strategies.
,
• Proven ability to build and manage client relationships.
,
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, schedules, and budgets.
Nice-to-haves
• 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in project management.

• Experience with supply chain greenhouse gas accounting.
,
• Familiarity with sustainability management and reporting to disclosure organizations.
,
• Experience planning emission reduction scenarios.
,
• Consulting experience or working on sustainability programs in the private sector or federal agencies.
