Job Summary
The Senior Building Construction Commissioning Specialist is responsible for leading and managing the commissioning process for complex building projects. This role involves ensuring that building systems are designed, installed, tested, and operating according to the owner's project requirements and design intent. The Senior Commissioning Specialist will utilize their expertise to oversee all phases of the commissioning process, from pre-design through occupancy, with a focus on delivering high-quality, functional, and sustainable buildings.

Responsibilities
• Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of commissioning team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers.
• Prepare and present commissioning reports, documentation, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Ensure that all commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards, codes, and best practices (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED).
• Participate in training building operations and maintenance staff on system operations and maintenance.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior commissioning staff.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of company commissioning processes and standards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest building technologies, commissioning trends, and industry developments.
• Proven experience in building engineering or construction management roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and quality control standards in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and their installation practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in assessing construction work.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site as required, demonstrating strong leadership in a dynamic environment.
