Position: Senior Asset Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Manager to manage a portfolio of renewable energy assets throughout their lifecycle. This role involves overseeing financial performance, risk management, operational performance, and asset compliance. You will lead and implement strategies to maximize value within the asset management framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. The position also includes developing and managing budgets, operating plans, and reporting while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and execute asset management strategies within a structured framework.
• Manage and optimize the performance of renewable energy assets, with a focus on both financial and operational results.
• Take ownership of project and portfolio financials, ensuring superior P&L performance and risk mitigation.
• Develop and oversee annual operating plans, project budgets, onboarding processes, and reporting for assigned assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting, accounting, and cash management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including customers, lenders, landowners, and partners, handling emerging issues efficiently.
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, systems, and business operations.
• Gain a strong understanding of power markets and implement effective revenue strategies for both contracted and merchant assets.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in the energy industry, with a proven track record of creating value within a large energy portfolio.
• Experience using digital asset management performance platforms and advanced analytic systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence and stakeholder management expertise.
• Proven success in working within dynamic, agile, and data-driven teams in high-performance environments.
• Familiarity with renewable energy power markets and revenue strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Primary work is performed in an office environment, with regular site visits required.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Must be able to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) when visiting sites.
