Pattern Energy Group is seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst for Solect Energy in Hopkinton, MA. About the position
Solect Energy, based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, is seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the finance staff with various financial reporting tasks, including conducting monthly analyses, reconciling general ledger accounts for multiple entities, and recording journal entries as needed. The Senior Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial statements, particularly for smaller entities, and maintaining a task and deadlines checklist calendar for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Job Costing, and Financial Reporting. In this position, you will assist in project revenue reconciliations, perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct monthly reporting to the parent company. You will also maintain the monthly close Financial Reporting book and serve as a backup for project costing, AR, AP, and various reporting requirements. Your role will involve collecting data to evaluate the efficiency of accounts payable and receivable, reviewing current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and providing constructive feedback to update them as necessary. Additionally, you will support audit and tax requests and become knowledgeable about state solar and battery storage incentive programs for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and other states as required. The Senior Asset Management Analyst will actively participate in the financial management of Solect's retained projects, tracking and facilitating resolutions to minimize lost revenue related to discrepancies in utility billing, incentives, and system production issues. Collaboration with other departments, such as Construction Services and Services, will be essential to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Conduct monthly analyses and reconcile general ledger accounts for all entities.

• Record journal entries as needed on a monthly basis for multiple entities.

• Assist in preparing financial statements, particularly for smaller entities.

• Maintain the task and deadlines checklist calendar for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Job Costing, and Financial Reporting.

• Perform project revenue reconciliations and prepare entries as needed.

• Conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
,
• Prepare monthly reporting to the parent company.
,
• Maintain the monthly close Financial Reporting book.

• Serve as backup for project costing, AR, AP, and various reporting requirements.

• Collect data to evaluate the efficiency of accounts payable and receivable.

• Review all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide constructive feedback.

• Assist in assessing and updating internal controls.

• Support audit and tax requests.

• Become knowledgeable on state solar and battery storage incentive programs for MA, RI, and CT.

• Participate in the due diligence process for retained projects to be financed.

• Track and facilitate resolution to minimize lost revenue related to discrepancies in utility billing, incentives, and/or system production issues.

• Collaborate with other departments within Solect such as Construction Services and Services.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
,
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
,
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
,
• QuickBooks accounting experience is desired.
,
• Salesforce experience is a plus.
,
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in the solar energy sector.

• Knowledge of financial management in renewable energy projects.
