The role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Activity Operations and Impact Manager to set up, develop, and co-lead our new Activity Operations and Project Management team that will manage and co-ordinate all our programmes, projects, and initiatives, and work across the whole team to ensure UKGBC delivers meaningful impact against our mission. This team includes project coordinators, events coordinators, and administrators. Initially, this role will report directly to the CEO, though in time this is expected to change to a Head of department, or a Director.

Key responsibilities
• Maintains good high-level understanding of all activities across UKGBC and proactively encourages synergies, collaborations, and opportunities for increasing impact and delivering against our strategy
• Acts as the (non-technical) programme manager for UKGBC programmes / initiatives, liaising with collaborators and participants on operational matters
• Working with Senior People Manager and the Leadership Team to ensure that UKGBC values and mission are embedded in processes, activities, and practices
• With the Activity Operations and Impact Co-ordinator, collating and curating key insights, messages and themes from across UKGBC’s activities to demonstrate membership value, industry impact, and to support UKGBC activity and project development and planning.
• Engages in, and where relevant / agreed leads facilitation of, regular organisational wide meetings related to the UKGBC culture and operations and / or other projects and workstreams
• Co-ordinates organisation-wide collective decision-making on whether to start/stop/substantially change a workstream / activity
• In close collaboration with the Head of Marcomms and Identity, develops and leads co-ordination of impact reporting, quarterly and annually
• Develops and maintains excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
• Sits on the Leadership Team collaborating across the organisation to implement and deliver the strategic aims of UKGBC
• Provides administrative support to the organisation
• Takes accountability for own contribution towards your personal and professional development; including regular 1-1s, objective setting, performance and development conversations; and soliciting and providing feedback, including for those outside your core work area, from any direct reports, and upward for managers

Key responsibilities shared with co-lead of activity operations
• With the Senior Partnerships and Programmes Manager, develops, implements, and maintains the ways in which the Activity Operations and Project Management team centrally manage, co-ordinate, and administrate all UKGBC workstreams / activities
• Ensures that good and consistent governance, management, and processes are taking place across UKGBC workstreams / activities to identify and mitigate risks that may prevent impact being delivered and activities progressing on time and on budget
• Identifies gaps, or opportunities for better integration between ongoing workstreams / activities and facilitates conversations to close gaps and improve integration
• Inputs to budgets (annually) and financial forecasts (monthly) and oversees recording and authorisation of transactions connected to workstreams / activities being managed by the Activity Operations and Project Management team

• Facilitation: Experience in running meetings, workshops, and roundtables with internal and external stakeholders
