The Seasonal Wildlife Technician role involves conducting surveys for Northern Spotted and Barred Owls as part of Green Diamond's Habitat Conservation Plan and other pre-harvest raptor surveys. The position is primarily field-based, with a significant focus on night work, and includes extensive training in safety and job-specific skills.

Responsibilities
• Conduct Northern Spotted and Barred Owl surveys as required by the Habitat Conservation Plan.

• Perform pre-harvest raptor surveys in compliance with California Forest Practice Rules.

• Engage in data submissions and preparation for fieldwork.

• Scout survey locations during the day and conduct demographic surveys for spotted owls.

• Participate in safety training and job training prior to the start of the season.

Requirements
• Knowledge of conducting owl or raptor surveys is preferred.

• Experience with sage grouse monitoring or similar wildlife monitoring activities.

• Ability to navigate remote forest settings, especially at night.

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
