Job Description

The Tulalip Tribes are seeking a Seasonal Wildlife Technician for a four-month contract focused on mountain goats and alpine wildlife research in the North Cascades. Responsibilities include strenuous hiking, overnight camping, deploying trail cameras, and data management. Candidates should have field experience and an interest in wildlife management. The position requires working long hours and weekends in remote areas.
DEPARTMENT: Natural Resources- Wildlife JOB SUMMARY: The Wildlife Technician position will primarily be working on a wildlife research project related to mountain goats and other alpine wildlife in the North Cascades. Aspects include strenuous hiking, overnight camping, trail camera deployments, mountain goat surveys, as well as data collection, management, and analysis. Primary duties will consist of day-hiking or overnight-backpacking to remote areas of the North Cascades to deploy trail cameras. This technician may also assist on other projects related to ungulate research, biodiversity monitoring, and habitat restoration. Natural & Cultural Resources are seeking highly motivated candidate with field-based experience that are pursuing a career in wildlife management or other natural resources fields.
