Seasonal Environmental Lab Technician

New England Bioassay is hiring a Seasonal Environmental Lab Technician in Manchester, CT, for a temporary position from June to September. Candidates should have a background in environmental science. Responsibilities include aquatic toxicity testing and wet chemical analysis. The role requires good vision and physical stamina. Availability for rotating weekends and holidays is necessary. Pay ranges from $17 to $18 per hour, with both full-time and part-time options.
New England Bioassay Inc. (NEB) A leading woman owned Aquatic Toxicity Laboratory located in Manchester; CT has a full-time seasonal Lab Technician position available. NEB would also consider A part-time candidate. This position is temporary and would start in June and end in September. Recent college graduate or current college students with a background in environmental science or aquatic related field preferred. NEB tests wastewaters to protect against environmental pollution affecting aquatic organisms. Duties to include aquatic toxicity test set up, wet chemical analysis of wastewaters, and culturing aquatic species. All candidates must be willing to share rotating weekends/holidays and overtime lab coverage with existing laboratory staff. This position also requires good vision for counting small aquatic species, the ability to stand most of the day and some heavy lifting of water samples. Please indicate availability on resume.
