• *Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a School Culture Liaison. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals on and around our campus.
• *Responsibilities:**
• Implement active listening skills, de-escalation, and conflict resolution techniques to provide a safe and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and community members.
• Guide students and use safety protocols to prevent injury or damage to school property.
• Provide information to school administrators regarding causes and effects of campus and community tension.
• Ensure school property is secure and locked when necessary.
• Report threats or incidents of misbehavior to the school administrator or designee.
• *Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent with completion of college courses in psychology, sociology, counseling, or related field (bachelor's degree preferred) OR 3 years of related experience may substitute for required college-level courses.
• Familiarity with the community, including culture, values, and other important issues.
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures, adolescent development, vocabulary common to youth in the area served by the school, and culturally sustaining pedagogy.
• Ability to establish good relations with individual students and groups, communicate orally with staff, parents, and students, react quickly in emergencies, and work effectively with personnel and the public.
• Valid California driver's license and private transportation OR alternative method of transportation.
