Job Description
Brightsmith is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager for Clean Energy initiatives in Kano, Nigeria. The role involves expanding sales structures, developing partnerships, and promoting fuel-efficient cooking solutions for rural households. Candidates should have experience in sales operations within low-income markets, strong commercial acumen, and fluency in English, with local language skills as an advantage. Interested in using your sales and business development experience to deliver real climate and health impact across Nigeria?
As a Sales & Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of expanding multiple negative emissions/ clean energy initiatives, building scalable sales structures, developing high-impact partnerships, and driving adoption of affordable, fuel-efficient cooking solutions for rural and low-income households.
You’ll operate at the intersection of
• commercial growth, community engagement, and climate action
, shaping how one of Nigeria’s most impactful clean energy products reaches millions of families.
• The role:**
• You’ll lead sales growth across defined regions or nationally (depending on seniority), designing and executing strategies tailored to diverse local markets.
• The role combines
• hands-on field leadership
with strategic responsibility, including partnership development with distributors, microfinance institutions, NGOs, and community structures.
