Safety Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety protocols across construction sites. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, compliance management, and risk management practices. The Safety Technician will collaborate with various teams to promote safety awareness and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Duties
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, workers' compensation, and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations and report any violations or concerns.
• Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution.
• Utilize construction management software to track safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in the investigation of accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Experience
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety within a construction environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, workers' compensation processes, and EHS standards is essential.
• Experience in risk management practices related to construction activities is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks effectively and implement appropriate safety measures.
• Excellent communication skills for training staff and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of construction management software is a plus.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. Minimum 1- 3 years’ experience as a Safety Technician.

3. TWIC, ARSC Basic Safety, Valid state driver’s license

Preferred:

1. First-Aid/CPR, OSHA 10.

2. CSST or equivalent certification.
