Job Description
Environmental Air Systems is seeking a Safety Technician for their Browns Summit, NC manufacturing plant. The role involves coordinating safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting inspections, and promoting safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring safety conditions, training employees, and maintaining documentation. The position is full-time with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and may require overtime.
We are looking for a safety technician to assist with the safety and health of our Reedy Fork Manufacturing Plant. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating safety programs, developing and carrying out procedures to effectively control and minimize safety accidents and health violations, and promoting company safety performance standards to meet strategic goals and objectives. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations involving safety, industrial hygiene, HazCom, environmental safety, and company policies.
1st Shift Position
6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Job responsibilities include:
• Facilitate all safety-related programs
• Monitor safety-related work conditions in the facility
• Monitor the safety behaviors of employees in the plant
• Maintain required safety documentation
• Complete required safety inspections
• Participate in and facilitate safety meetings
• Develop and implement new safety procedures and initiatives
• Performs basic first aid for any injured employee
• Assist in incident investigations and related corrective actions
• Trains and works with employees to understand and follow plant safety procedures
• Troubleshoot and address safety problems or concerns
• Takes on other duties as needed by management
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.
• Must possess exceptional organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have a good driving record if needed
• Must have own transportation
Education/ Certifications:
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in a related industry, and all required certifications are a plus but not required
• A two-year business degree is a plus but not required (Hands-on training available)
