Job Description

What you´ll do
• Support site leadership in the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) programs and policies.
• Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local environmental and occupational health regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and development of corrective actions. Assist with tracking, entering, and analyzing incident and safety metric data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate on risk assessments and hazard analyses across various operational areas.
• Deliver and support employee training on SHE initiatives. Assist with identifying training needs, developing materials, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate policy and procedural updates to employees under the direction of local SHE leadership.
• Maintain documentation and records related to SHE compliance and internal programs.
• Support internal reporting efforts and assist in generating recommendations to improve safety and environmental outcomes.
• Recommend improvements to facility safety and environmental performance, including equipment, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in PPE selection and training.
• Assist in developing and updating site safety and environmental policies, setting objectives, and monitoring progress toward SHE goals.
• Conduct audits such as Job Safety Analyses (JHAs), ergonomic assessments, new chemical reviews, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) reviews, and general safety inspections.
• Participate in weekly SHE walkarounds, 5S audits, safety conversations (SUSA), and other routine safety engagements.
• Be an active participant in employee safety committees and foster site-wide safety engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What makes you a good fit
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field preferred. Candidates with relevant work experience and education in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage across various levels of the organization.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to contribute to both day-to-day challenges and longer-term improvements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A proactive approach to supporting SHE initiatives and driving a positive safety culture.

The salary for this role is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
