Henkel is seeking a Safety, Health, Environmental & Sustainability Manager for its Enoree, SC site. This role focuses on leading SHE and Sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and engaging with employees to promote initiatives. About the position
The Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE) and Sustainability Manager at Henkel is a pivotal role responsible for leading the SHE and Sustainability programs at the Enoree, SC site. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels, as well as adherence to Henkel's Management Systems and Standards. The manager will engage daily with various facility employees to promote SHE and Sustainability initiatives, driving continuous improvement in these areas to enhance the site’s performance. In this role, the manager will support the implementation of SHE management systems to ensure environmental regulatory compliance. This includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable SHE and Sustainability standards and performing necessary reporting to various regulatory agencies. The manager will also coordinate and participate in internal and external SHE assessments, such as Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Ergonomic Assessments, and compliance with ISO standards. The responsibilities extend to managing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, conducting SHE and Sustainability inspections, and overseeing the Sites Compliance Calendar to ensure that programs, training, emergency drills, and other activities are completed timely. The manager will be responsible for Process Safety Management and Culture-Based Safety programs, translating global and regional Sustainability targets into actionable site programs and goals. Additionally, the role involves supervising the proper management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with SHE regulations, and developing engineering procedures to minimize waste generation.
Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) management systems to ensure environmental regulatory compliance.

• Maintain current knowledge of all applicable Safety, Health, Environmental, and Sustainability standards and perform necessary reporting to various agencies.

• Perform, coordinate, or participate in internal and external SHE assessments (i.e. PHAs, JSAs, Ergonomic Assessments, ISO, PSM).
,
• Manage compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and perform SHE and Sustainability inspections as required.
,
• Responsible for Sites Compliance Calendar ensuring programs, training, emergency drills, and various activities are completed.

• Responsible for Process Safety Management and Culture Based Safety programs and initiatives.
,
• Translate global and regional Sustainability targets into site programs and goals.
,
• Supervise and update proper control over the collection, identification, segregation, transportation, recovery, and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

• Develop engineering procedures for the minimization of waste to comply with applicable SHE rules and regulations.
Requirements
• BA/BS degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering or another related field.

• 5 years of related SHE and/or Sustainability experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Strong chemical background is preferred.
,
• Experience with air permitting and OSHA reports preferred.
,
• Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM).
,
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.

• Competitive salary range of $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 based on experience and qualifications.
