Job Description

The SVP/Wealth Management Managing Director at Bell Bank in Fargo, ND, oversees a team of wealth advisors, develops business plans, and engages in business development. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing client relationships, and coordinating with HR for recruitment. Candidates should have a B.A. and at least ten years of Wealth Management experience. The role requires strong communication skills and knowledge of financial planning.
This position manages a team of wealth advisors and functions as a senior-level wealth management officer. This position will develop, monitor and execute Wealth Management business plans. This position must possess the technical skills needed to manage and develop relationships across Wealth Management's three classes of clients; private client, institutional and retirement. In addition, proficiency in business development is expected, as this position is expected to actively solicit new relationships.

Responsibilities
• Supervise Wealth Advisor staff
• Conduct monthly 1:1's with Wealth Advisors while assisting them in their personal career development, ongoing training and leading team meetings.
• Actively engage in developing prospects and managing existing relationships of Wealth Management
• Actively engage in business development. Set division wide goals for business development through monthly meetings. In this context, business development includes ongoing contact with existing top-tier Wealth Management customers.
• Partner with HR for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of wealth advisors.
• Work closely with senior management in Wealth Management to complete projects as directed, set strategies, prepare and monitor the budget for the region and assist in leading events and meetings.
• Develop and monitor department production growth goals, overall wealth management pipeline and individual production growth goals.
• Coordinate with the regional Business Development Team to plan and conduct monthly regional sales meetings for producers in all divisions and lines of business.
• In partnership with the regional business development team, develop an organized calling program for both prospects and existing wealth clients for the department and individual advisors; establish goals and monitor success.
• Represent Bell Bank at community functions and review requests presented for donation opportunities.
• Organize partnership opportunities within Bell Bank's business lines to create networking opportunities.
• Lead the sales process with the philosophy of seeking relationships with wealth clients to maximize their total financial relationships.
• Be a primary point of contact for resolution and process improvements.

Education, Experience, and Other Expectations
• B.A. in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience in Wealth Management.

Skills and Knowledge
• Working knowledge of financial planning, corporate retirement plans and institutional investing.
• Above-average written and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer technology.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
