Job Description
Compass Group is hiring a Senior Manager of Sustainability to manage communication strategies and program implementation for sustainability initiatives. This role involves supporting sales efforts, developing training programs, and enhancing storytelling for clients. Candidates should have a degree in sustainability or related fields, strong project management skills, and experience in sustainability. The position is remote and offers a salary between $75k-100k, plus bonuses.
Salary: $75k-100k base to commensurate with experience
Other Forms of Compensation: bonus eligible

Job Summary
Under the Senior Director of Sustainability's direction, the Senior Manager of Sustainability will focus on communication strategies, storytelling, and program management to support Compass Group North America's strategic sustainability initiatives. This role will enhance our services across all sectors by developing and executing communication plans that align with our clients' sustainability strategies and Compass Group's commitment to people and the planet.
Responsibilities:
• Sustainability support for sales and retention efforts.
• Supports sustainability implementation across all Sectors.
• Enhance storytelling for Sectors and clients leveraging behavioral change techniques & data
• Develops and implements training programs that assist the field with implementing sustainability programs.
• Organize existing sales and communications resources for efficiency and identify gaps.
• Develop communications strategies for sustainability programing
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.
• Interacts professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, clients, and customers and embraces excellence in customer service both for internal and external customers.
• Supports sustainability requests for clients, customers, and Compass associates' questions and concerns
• Maintain and continue to build the strong working relationship with key corporate and sector stakeholders
• Achieves goals measured by KPIs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in sustainability or related field preferred
• Professional experience in sustainability, project management, marketing, or sales
• Proficient storyteller
• Experience in sustainability strongly preferred
• Extremely Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Project Management experience strongly preferred
• Advanced written and oral communication skills including public speaking
• Strong presentation and time management skills; strong management and leadership skills, advanced problem-solving skills, and outstanding interpersonal skills
• An ability to manage several complex priorities with deadlines and an attention to detail
• Must be adaptable to change and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Culinary and/or food service experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Additional Qualifications:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports & case studies, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
