Job Description
Blue Origin Personnel, LLC is seeking a SLA Finishing Technician SR for day shifts in the United States. The role involves manufacturing, assembling, and testing hardware for spaceflight systems, requiring 2+ years of 3D printing experience. Candidates should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment, with occasional travel and relocation support provided.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Special Mentions: Relocation provided Shifts available: A Shift - Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Responsibilities: - Understanding of the full depth and breadth of components, assemblies, machinery, and materials that are associated with SLA 3D printing. - The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance of 3D printing components, assembly and machinery. - Detect and report defects indicating unusual operating conditions to area supervisor for investigation and correction. - Leads development and process improvement efforts. Provides project-level technical leadership - Manually repair stereolithography patterns following established methods and procedures. Requires the use of some judgment to make routine repairs to surface features of a wide range of stereolithography molds and perform work effectively. - Polish parts to achieve a high-quality finish, enhancing appearance and durability. - Meet acceptable level of product throughput while maintaining quality standards. - Mentors others and is responsible for the accuracy of the work of others through review. - Reports to the area supervisor. Qualifications: · High School diploma or GED ·2+ years 3D printing experience required · Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities · Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures · Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc. · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items, >30lbs · Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary · Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and deliver results · Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field 2+ years of3D printing experience Experienced in handling wax or stereolithography molds Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $39.05-$54.67 Other site ranges may differ Inclusivity Statement Don’t meet all desired requirements?
