SHE Supervisor (Safety, Health, and Environment)

Perfect Placement is hiring a SHE Supervisor for their client in the Netherlands, specializing in project support for the (petro)chemical and maritime industries. Candidates must have a diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields, with 2-10 years of SHE supervision experience. Responsibilities include implementing SHE policies, conducting safety inspections, and training employees. Fluency in Afrikaans is required, and candidates must be South African residents or willing to relocate.
Our client specializes in project support for the (petro)chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a SHE Supervisor to join their team in the Netherlands.

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
• Diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 - 10 years' experience in SHE supervision or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SHE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and train teams.
• Proficiency in report writing and incident investigation techniques.

Duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will implement and monitor SHE policies, ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor SHE policies and procedures in compliance with legal and company standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Train employees on SHE practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure proper reporting and documentation of SHE-related activities, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with managers and employees to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
