Environmental Risk Specialist

This role is focused on delivering technical support for human health and ecological risk assessment projects. As an Environmental Risk Specialist, you will be working closely with the team to provide accurate project progress tracking and reporting. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing junior staff in both field and office-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in environmental risk assessment, toxicology, biology, or a related field. A minimum of three years' experience directly related to environmental and/or human health risk assessment is an asset. You will be expected to understand Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) site-specific risk assessment procedures and have basic knowledge of key skills for risk assessment including biology, environmental chemistry, contaminant transport, modelling, and human health toxicity.

You will work in an office environment that requires sitting for extended periods and some field work. You will be required to walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, push, pull objects, and lift/move up to 30 kg.
