Job Description

FTI Consulting is seeking a Risk & Operations Manager for its Corporate Finance & Restructuring team in Melbourne. The role involves national risk management responsibilities, including compliance, technical support, training initiatives, and maintaining policies. About the Role

This position within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team has national responsibility for risk management including technical support and practice management.

Working with the Managing Director, Risk & Operations, the role will deliver an effective compliance and technical capability and drive, assist and enhance operational effectiveness for the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team nationally.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will deliver an effective compliance and technical capability within the national team, including but not limited to the following key activities.
• Issuing key communications regarding insolvency updates, including a monthly newsletter
• Providing technical support to the national team and attending to ad hoc queries
• Coordinating and assisting with national technical training initiatives, including delivery of ad hoc statutory training, running monthly meetings and updating the Technical Training Library
• Timely updating and maintaining of checklists and precedents in the Checklists & Precedents Library
• Reviewing and maintaining national policies and procedures including maintaining the Compliance Library
• Reporting and presenting in various forums, including to senior staff in relation to the Risk & Operations agenda and activities
• Liaising with relevant bodies such as ASIC, ARITA, CAANZ and ATO
• Leading ad hoc projects to drive process improvements and enhance efficiencies

How You'll Grow

This senior role will provide the ability to operate and influence the change agenda at a national level, with exposure to staff at all levels, within an established, proactive and collaborative Risk & Operations function.

Experience & Qualifications
• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business or Law Minimum 10 years' experience within the insolvency and restructuring field
• Experience working with others to develop compliance training for new recruits and existing staff
• Ability to drive and manage complex and critical projects and manage change in an organisation
• Previously led teams and managed staff
• Strong work ethic and integrity and high level of professionalism
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to travel as necessary
