Dick's Sporting Goods is hiring a Retail Bike Technician for their House of Sport in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves building and repairing bicycles, providing customer service, and achieving sales goals. The technician will also promote company programs and maintain merchandise presentation standards. A passion for cycling and prior experience in bike repair and sales is preferred. This position is not remote and requires in-store presence.

The Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. The Bike Tech is responsible for building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures. This individual will pull from personal experiences and industry research and trends to provide strong product recommendations that align with the customer's needs. The role requires creating a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, specifically (but not limited to) our Bike Department. The Bike Technician will uphold company standards for merchandise presentation and demonstrate the ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity. Additionally, the Bike Technician will promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions. Achieving sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise is a key responsibility, along with building and repairing bikes in accordance with established procedures. The technician will also assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed, maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage of the Bike Department to company standards, and adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. Confidentiality of all company information must be maintained, and the technician is expected to take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store, performing other tasks as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Requirements
• Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
