Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Resilience Planning and Management Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing resilience-related projects, leading interdisciplinary teams, and delivering results to clients nationwide.

This role requires strong project management, leadership, and technical expertise in areas such as resilience strategy and plan development, hazard mitigation plan development, climate change vulnerability/risk assessment, and public outreach/stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including planning, coordination, and execution. They will also communicate effectively with clients, establish project goals and objectives, and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to performance expectations.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement resilience plans and strategies for clients.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams in preparing proposals and presentations, developing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for new projects.
• Coordinate project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in planning, emergency management, public policy, urban design, landscape architecture, or related fields. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven record of managing interdisciplinary teams and delivering projects successfully, profitably, and to clients' satisfaction.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in resilience planning.
• Experience in resilience strategy and plan development, hazard mitigation plan development, climate change vulnerability/risk assessment, public outreach/stakeholder engagement, social equity and environmental justice, and/or economic and demographic analysis.
• Robust knowledge of Federal and state emergency management, climate, and resilience-related laws and regulations, as well as best practice standards and guidance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required for this leadership position.
