Laboratory Specialist Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Rhode Island.

About the Job:
• Perform routine and complex chemical analyses, including quantitative and qualitative testing of specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment such as spectrometers, chromatographs, and other analytical tools.
• Prepare and test samples for chemical reactions, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of reagents.
• Follow established laboratory protocols for sample preparation, testing, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, and local guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of all tests and experiments, including results, observations, and quality control data.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure proper calibration of instruments.
• Develop and implement new testing methods and technologies in the laboratory.
• Prepare reports and documentation for analysis results and communicate findings to other departments or clients.

Necessary Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Certification as a Laboratory Specialist required.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Proficient in the use of laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, HPLC, and mass spectrometers.
• Ability to analyze and interpret test results and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
