Job Description

Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Research Associate for its Power & Renewables team in New Delhi, India. The role involves conducting primary and secondary research on renewable technologies, managing data stores, evaluating data alignment with official figures, and collaborating across time zones. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, an interest in the renewable energy sector, and effective communication abilities. This is a full-time position with no specific degree requirement.
Responsibilities:-

Create, monitor, and maintain relevant data for renewable technologies by conducting primary and secondary research. The data to be monitored includes general market dynamics, business models, market and policy developments and financial strategies.
Maintain data stores for renewable technologies, such as: project lists, company financials, asset transactions, tender announcements, and policy developments.
Evaluate the alignment of our data with official figures from regional sources such as: national energy balances, energy regulatory agency reports, and market operators.
Collaborate with colleagues across multiple time zones and disciplines to leverage best practices and deliver according to project timelines.
Establish and maintain a robust renewable industry network.
Support automatization processes, data collection and quality control efforts.

Qualification And Experience:-

Proven analytical capabilities, both qualitative and quantitative.
Demonstrated interest in data management and in the renewable/energy industry.
Excellent problem solving, documentation, communication and organization skills, and attention to detail.
An engaging nature, capable of connecting with co-workers, clients and industry stakeholders in a wide range of professional settings including giving presentations.
A deep intellectual curiosity about what drives markets based on economic principles.
Strong listening and critical thinking skills.
Fluency in English. Additional language skills, especially Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese, are a plus.
Comfortable working with common Excel functions and query languages.
