Renewable Energy and Energy Optimization Manager

Responsibilities

The purpose of the Renewable Energy and Energy Optimisation Specialist is to utilise their technical capability primarily in relation to defining strategies for and identifying solution that can be deployed onsite for driving energy efficiency and clean energy usage.

Conduct primary (e.g., phone interviews) and secondary (e.g., literature review) research on energy efficiency tools and strategies, and work with Accacia’s Product team to incorporate such solutions

Develop a deep understanding of renewable energy markets and PPA contracts in different countries of Accacia’s operations, and work with Accacia’s Product team to develop a framework for recommending renewable energy sources

Develop energy management strategies and initiatives to improve system performance and reduce emissions

Work with Product team to productize energy audits and recommendation of energy-efficient solutions such as equipment upgrades, retrofits and control strategies.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to identify energy-saving technology solutions and devices, and develop frameworks to monitor their effectiveness

Evaluate new technologies and devices for energy optimization and onboard them within Accaciaproduct environment

Qualifications

Familiarity with energy management concepts, including energy audits, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainability practices

Proficiency in energy markets, PPA contracts and renewable energy systems

Strong knowledge of energy efficiency, electrification, grid-integration and decarbonization of commercial buildings - technologies, design and delivery processes, operations.

Familiarity with the commercial building market stakeholder dynamics, e.g., understanding considerations and priorities of building owners, property managers, facility engineers, third party consultants, etc.

Project or energy management certifications (e.g., PMP, CEM) are desirable

Experience of 5-8 years working as Energy specialist with atleast 2 years of international markets like Singapore, Dubai, US, Canada
