BOLT Staffing is seeking a Renewable Energy Testing Technician to perform performance and stress testing on renewable energy equipment. About the position
The Renewable Energy Testing Technician role involves conducting performance and stress testing on renewable energy equipment to ensure safety and quality. The technician will follow detailed procedures, log data, and maintain the efficiency of the lab while working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
• Conduct voltage and current testing using the correct equipment, procedures, and PPE.

• Follow all standard operating procedures and quality assurance guidelines.

• Monitor equipment performance, collaborate on improvements, and ensure maximum uptime.
,
• Help maintain and calibrate reference devices, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
,
• Organize and manage inventory of modules and test materials.
,
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
,
• Install hardware, PV modules, and monitoring equipment.
,
• Keep workstations clean and organized.
,
• Complete additional tasks as needed to support the team.
Requirements
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
,
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
,
• Experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or quality assurance is a plus.
,
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
,
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
,
• Comfortable working in mixed environments (indoor office, lab, outdoor field work).
,
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on rooftops in various weather conditions.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
,
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
Nice-to-haves
• PV, HALT, or power electronics testing experience.
,
• Familiarity with PV system site inspections and electrical plans/layouts.
,
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
,
• OSHA training certification.
,
• Experience with data acquisition systems and LabVIEW software.
