Davidson is seeking a Solution Architect for their Growth & Future Energy team in Brisbane, offering a salary package of up to $236,000. The role involves developing architecture solutions for renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with business strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have extensive experience in a similar position and TOGAF certification. The position allows for flexible working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

About the Role

Our Energy sector client has a permanent opportunity for a Solution Architect to join the Growth & Future Energy team to develop architecture solutions that support and optimise renewable energy projects. The role is based in the CBD and offers flexible working (3 days in the office and 2 days’ work from home).

The purpose of the role is to leverage your architectural expertise to develop and execute both strategic and tactical solutions that will advance Growth & Future Energy towards its desired technological goals.

This role ensures technology solutions align with business strategy and tactical needs, overseeing architecture states and roadmaps. It encompasses application and technical product ownership for the G&FE division, from strategy input to implementation support, coordinating delivery with various ICT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.

Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect you will lead and shape the architectural vision for the G&FE Division, aligning it with business and ICT strategies. Your other responisbilities will include:
• Driving solution delivery through effective product planning and collaboration with business application owners.
• Creating and maintaining architecture states and a transition roadmap for the G&FE Division.
• Actively contribute to G&FE initiatives from design through to production.
• Partnering with stakeholders to optimize outcomes by managing scheduling, integration, and prioritization of deliverables.
• Ensuring quality assurance for both internal and vendor resources, focusing on deliverable excellence and design consistency.
• Supervising specialist consultancies for strategic input, audits, and compliance tasks.
• Identifing and assess new technologies, contributing to the Architecture Governance Committee to shape future strategies and roadmaps.

Skills & Experience required

In order to be a sucessful application you will have extensive experience operating in a Solution Architect, or similar position. You will also have:
• TOGAF certification.
• Previous experience working as an Architect in the Energy, Gas, Mining, Renewables or Construction sector.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to confidently establish effective stakeholder relationships.
• Extensive expertise in application and technical solution architecture across all domains, including the ability to design technical architectures for new renewable assets.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining technology roadmaps aligned with business and renewable asset strategies.
• Skilled in creating high-quality solution design documents, diagrams, and other artifacts.
• Experienced in working within agile teams to develop technical artifacts effectively.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyse and resolve complex issues.
